Our Healing and Teacher Training Retreat is designed in three categories for participants:
1. Those interested in participating in a healing journey of Kemetic Yoga but do not desire to become certified as an instructor.
2. Those that are not certified as Yoga Instructors but want to become certified at the basic 200 hour practicum level. (See prerequisites below)
3. Current Kemetic Yoga Instructors who have become certified at the 200 hour certification level and now want to pursue the 500 hour certification level. Each certification option has pre-requisites that must be met prior to the retreat. It is imperative to complete all prerequisites in order to have adequate background knowledge on quintessential aspects of the YogaSkills Method (YSM). Prerequisites for 200 Hour Certification Option: 1. 100 hours of documented practice with a certified Kemetic Yoga instructor or Guided Independent Study with the YogaSkills Kemetic Yoga Instructional DVD and Journey to Amenta Instructional Meditation CD. 2. Completion of reading and assignments with the following instructional materials: “Kemetic Yoga Teacher Training Manual”, “Light on Yoga” by B.K.S Iyengar, “Ancient Future” by Wayne B. Chandler, the YogaSkills Kemetic Yoga DVD: Breath, Flow and Internal Power, Journey to Amenta Instructional Meditation CD. Prerequisites for 500 Hour Certification Option: 1. Completion of the 200 Hour Kemetic Yoga Certification perquisites and attainment of certification. 2. 100 hours of documentedteaching experience. 3. Written on the following topics: ‘History and Philosophy of Kemetic Yoga’, ‘What is the YogaSkills Method?’ and ‘The Role and Responsibilities of a Kemetic Yoga Instructor’.
Nature Walk and Herb Picking at Cranbrook Gardens Upon completion of the retreat you will receive certificate of completion and letter of certification confirming that you are certified in the YogaSkills Method and Kemetic Yoga. As a graduate of this program you will be listed on the our website as a certified instructor and will automatically become a member of the Society of Kemetic Yoga which will make you eligible for discounts on all future trips, retreats, trainings and trips.
