Relaxation Techniques:
These consist of deep breathing exercises, progressive relaxation,
body emptying, visualization, and biofeedback. Deep breathing and
progressive relaxation activate the body's natural ability to
release stress and bring about a sense of well-being.
Understanding the physiology of stress:
The "fight or flight response governs how our bodies respond to
stress. Chronic stress, a prolonged period of duress, can produce a
variety of negative physical effects that are detrimental to your
health. Yoga Skills provides instruction on how to recognize the
symptoms of stress and strategies to combating the debilitating
